With Mother's Day upon us, our thoughts obviously focus on "mum". For this year's celebration, let's make sure that we do more than just buy mum a rose or two, take her out to dinner and go back to the way we've acted all year. Compassion Day, held on May 15, is an annual event aimed at encouraging child sponsorship by focusing on the needs of children in poverty.
