Vision
Vision Statement
To Reach Australia for Jesus Christ
Statement of Faith
We believe:- The bible is the inspired and authoritative word of God.
- There is one God the Creator, eternally existing in three persons - God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ - He is the Son of God, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father.
- In the second coming of Christ.
- In the person and works of the Holy Spirit.
- In the spiritually lost condition of people and the essential need for the repentance from sin and a 'new birth' by faith in Jesus Christ.
- In the sacraments of the Lord's Supper and Baptism.
- In the resurrection of all believers to everlasting life.
Prayer
The Australian Christian Channel believes in the power of prayer. It is an essential part of our relationship with our Father. ACC welcomes those who would like to pray for our ministry. An established intercessory prayer covering has been and will continue to be a vital element of ACC's mission.
Local Churches
ACC is committed to facilitating the ministry of the local church and believes that fellowship with other Christians is essential to the spiritual growth of every believer.
Partnerships
ACC believes that the Body of Christ should work together in unity of faith and purpose. God anoints each member of the body for different purposes. ACC therefore seeks to build and foster relationships with other ministries and Christian organisations.
ACC has formed a strategic partnership with Shine TV in New Zealand by working together to establish a broadcast service centre in Australia that provides programming for both ministries. Shine TV is a like minded ministry which broadcasts throughout New Zealand on the Sky Pay TV platform reaching 421,000 homes.
Telephone Support
ACC provides a contact point for people to find out more about the Christian faith, to receive prayer and provide initial contact. People not attending a church will be referred to a local church. People who require on-going counselling and other services will be referred to agencies best able to assist them. Our Phone Number is: 1300 302 170
Principles
Content
- As a Christian Channel desiring to provide a balanced diet of Christian teaching to all ages through a variety of Ministries and speakers, we operate under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of our Father in heaven.
- Program producers are to be in agreement with our Statement of faith and their programs should be in agreement with Scripture.
- Programs should bring life to our viewers and reflect the love of our Father. They should not be critical of others but rather be positive and encouraging.
- The ACC's programming committee has the final decision on whether a program is accepted for broadcast. Although producers are welcome to discuss any issue in relation to a program they have submitted, there is no obligation for the channel to accept a program for broadcast.
- In the event of a Ministry falling into disrepute, the ACC has the right to remove the associated programs from the channel line up.
- ACC will endeavour to develop the talents and skills of Christians to utilise the media for the purpose of bringing the Gospel to this Nation.
Funding
- The Australian Christian Channel is a non-profit organization. Any proceeds in addition to expenses go to fostering new programs, conducting support services or community welfare programs.
- ACC does not sell air time - programs are broadcast at no cost. The provision of finance is not a consideration in determining which programs will go to air on ACC. Programs are selected on merit and their potential placement within the current schedule.
- ACC is a faith ministry trusting in God for its provision.
- Income is received from advertising and donations.
- Programs should not contain any direct appeals for money or other fundraising. However there is no restriction for recognised charities or on the sale of ministry products such as books and tapes.
Dedication
Click here for an excerpt of the words spoken by Steve Grace as the channel commenced transmission at 12 noon on Easter Sunday 1999. It clearly represents the desire and intent of channel management.
