- Discussion questions (episode 15)

Unleashed presents the view
that family is defined more by the depth of relationship between its members
than actual blood relation. In your opinion, what constitutes a ‘family’? Is it
simply those that we are related to by birth or is the role of ‘family’ able to
be fulfilled by people other than blood relatives?
·
Rod suggests
that at the core of the film Unleashed there
is a ‘redemptive message’. What does he mean by this? Do you agree with his
interpretation? Why / why not?
·
What do you think about violent films? Is violence
is necessary? If so, how much is too much? Should violence be removed
altogether?
·
The film Left Behind II: Tribulation Force focuses on the chaos after
the rapture and the lives of those ‘left behind’. Consider yourself in the
situation of those in the film. Write a brief journal entry describing the
world that you see.
·
Just as Frank struggles with truth and honesty in
the film Catch Me If You Can, each of
us grapples with weak areas in our lives. Read 1 Peter 5: 8-11. How does this
Scripture advise us to deal with our weaknesses?
Rod comments that the film has a ‘morally
unclear ending’. What do you think is meant by this statement? Do you agree
with this assessment?
