The Australian Christian Channel believes in the power of prayer. It is an essential part of our relationship with our Father. The Australian Christian Channel welcomes those who would like to pray for our ministry. An established intercessory prayer covering has been and will continue to be a vital element of the Australian Christian Channel's mission.
The Australian Christian Channel is committed to facilitating the ministry of the local church and believes that fellowship with other Christians is essential to the spiritual growth of every believer.
The Australian Christian Channel believes that the Body of Christ should work together in unity of faith and purpose. God anoints/appoints each member of the body for different purposes. The Australian Christian Channel therefore seeks to build and foster relationships with other Christians, whether they be individuals, groups, Ministries or Organisations.
The Australian Christian Channel has formed a strategic partnerships with other like minded ministry broadcasters working together to establish a fresh and new model of Christian Television.
The Australian Christian Channel provides a contact point for people to find out more about the Christian faith, to receive prayer and provide initial contact. People inquiring about church can be referred to a local church if so desired. People who require on-going counseling and other services will be referred to agencies best able to assist them. CONTENT
It is the intent of the Australian Christian Channel to provide a balanced diet of Television programs that reflect the diversity and character of Christian faith. We endeavour to seek out program producers that reflect a Biblical world view, bringing life and the love of God to our viewers. It is a requirement of the ACC that no content or program should ever be critical in nature, but rather reflect positive and encouraging values at all times.
The Australian Christian Channel's programming committee has the final decision on whether a program is accepted for broadcast. Although producers are welcome to discuss any issue in relation to a program they have submitted, there is no obligation for the channel to accept a program for broadcast.
In the event of a ministry or organisation falling into disrepute, The Australian Christian Channel has the right to remove the associated programs from being broadcast.
The Australian Christian Channel will endeavour to develop the talents and skills of Christians to utilise the media for the purpose of bringing the Gospel Message to as many people as possible.
FUNDING
The Australian Christian Channel is a not for profit organisation. Any proceeds in addition to expenses go to fostering new programs, conducting support services or community welfare programs.
The Australian Christian Channel does not charge for air time of programs. The provision of finance is not a consideration in determining which programs will go to air on the Australian Christian Channel. The Australian Christian Channel is a faith based ministry trusting in God for its provision - income is derived from advertising and donations. Programs should not contain any appeals for money or other fundraising, either directly or implied.
